FAQ
What is outbid.co.nz?
outbid.co.nz is a pay-to-rank leaderboard where the highest total bid in New Zealand dollars holds #1.
How does ranking work on outbid.co.nz?
Ranking on outbid.co.nz is decided only by the total amount paid for a listing: a completed Stripe payment claims whatever position that amount then supports.
What if two people check out for #1 at the same time?
outbid.co.nz does not reserve first place while Stripe is open. Rank is assigned when payment is confirmed. If two people each pay $105 against a $100 leader, both payments stand; the earlier confirmed listing keeps the higher rank on a tie, and neither payment is refunded.
Is a rank on outbid.co.nz permanent?
A listing on outbid.co.nz does not expire, but first place is not guaranteed forever — anyone who pays at least $5 more than the current #1 takes that spot, and the previous listing stays on the board at its full amount one place lower.
Can I get outbid after I pay?
Yes. Anyone who pays more than your published total, or $5 more if they want #1, can outrank you. Your listing stays on the board at the amount already paid.
What happens to my money if I get outbid?
The money already paid stays paid. Being outranked is not a refund. You bought a public rank for that amount, not permanent first place.
What am I actually buying?
You are buying placement and ranking on the outbid.co.nz leaderboard. You are not buying guaranteed traffic, sales or search rankings.
